The highest growth rates are expected to occur in the Africa/Middle East (26.3 percent CAGR) and Central and Eastern Europe (24 percent CAGR) regions, due to low initial smartphone penetration rates and improving access to devices. “Asia-Pacific, the largest region in terms of Ampe A78 smartphone unit sell-through, will grow at a CAGR of 21.5 percent over the forecast period, contributing much of the growth in the global smartphone market,” he adds.
