Rumored Specs of Sony ¡®Togari¡¯ and ¡®Honami¡¯ Flagship Phones Revealed After the Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL, the Japanese company may have two more flagship phones in store for the second half of 2013. These phones have yet to be officially named, but internally, they are apparently known as Honami and Togari. Until this week, information had been quite limited on both devices, but new sources from Asia give potential second half 2013 phone buyers something to expect from Sony¡¯s next generation of flagships. According to U.K. site XperiaBlog.net, the Togari could trump the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 in terms of screen size by coming with a 6.44-inch, 1080p display. The device may feature a glass back, and come with a slim design reminiscent of the Xperia Z. Available flavors could be the classic black and white. The release date for the Togari could be sometime in July for Sony¡¯s home country of Japan. The Honami, on the other hand, is thought of as the ¡°One Sony¡± device, perhaps the main flagship the company will be offering in the second half of the year. While there¡¯s nothing new about the device¡¯s purported 5-inch, 1080p display, the key differentiator here may be features such as a dedicated Walkman audio chip and specs such as a 20-megapixel Cybershot rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics. The Honami, just like the Togari, is expected to be out in July with a waterproof and dustproof design. ePrice, a Chinese site, is tipping a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 2 GB RAM for the high-end Honami, and is also expecting a 20-megapixel rear camera. As for the international launch of the devices, cheap iphone 4s the ePrice report claims that both phones should be unveiled in August or September for international customers. This ties in with the possibility of an IFA 2013 launch and a release date shortly thereafter.
