Review Logitech Ultrathin Mini Keyboard for iPad mini

Review: Logitech Ultrathin Mini Keyboard for iPad mini The iPad was created without a keyboard in mind. With its touch screen you can do pretty much anything. However, there are some people who absolutely need a keyboard. Whether you are taking notes, writing a document, or just want the comfort of a physical keyboard, there are a few solutions out there so you can have the best of the iPad and the best of a typical PC. Today I will be looking at the Logitech Ultrathin iPad Mini keyboard, as well as what you get in the box. Let¡¯s go! Logitech has had an Ultrathin Keyboard for the full sized iPad out already, and the mini keyboard really is a shrunken version of that. The keyboard is smaller, but there is a whole lot of function built in to this little guy. Using the function key you can unlock things like locking the iPad screen, launching Siri, bringing up the internet, pictures, controlling your music, and volume of the iPad. Pretty amazing considering how tiny this keyboard is. The keyboard attaches to the iPad mini with the smart cover technology, so it turns your device on and off as you open and close it. When you detach the keyboard it can stand up either horizontally or vertically in the groove built into the keyboard. It¡¯s very nice because when you stand the iPad up, it is magnetically attached so your iPad is very secure. With it being smaller, I constantly was missing key strokes, as I am used to a full sized keyboard. Within a few days though, I was used to the new form factor. When the iPad is closed with the keyboard attached, it is surprisingly not very bulky. It weighs only 208 grams, as per Logitech¡¯s website. However the bottom of the keyboard is a brushed metal that scratches quite easily, which was disappointing. Also, the keyboard when closed on the iPad doesn¡¯t stay as securely closed as I¡¯d like. Battery life is impressive, as Logitech promises up to 2 months of battery life on one single charge. Pretty impressive. As I have not had the keyboard that long, I cannot confirm this. In the box itself, you get the keyboard, a polishing cloth, as well as a micro usb cable to charge your keyboard. The Ultrathin Keyboard Mini comes in both black and white, depending whether you want to match your iPad mini. You can find out more about the Ultrathin Keyboard Mini at Logitech¡¯s website. The Ultrathin Keyboard mini is available at Logitech¡¯s online store for $79.99.For more information, please visit mini keyboard happyed01466
